Personify and longtime client AOPA took their partnership to new heights last week as Personify CEO & President Eric Thurston and two Personify employees participated in AOPA’s record-breaking fly-in event piloting his aircraft to the event. Matt Ott, Personify Director of Community Solutions, and Jordan Todd, Community Consultant, both attended the event with Thurston to learn more about AOPA and their constituents. The event welcomed more than 7,500 people and 500 aircraft to the University of Oklahoma Westheimer Airport in Norman, OK on Saturday, September 9th in conjunction with the airport’s 11th annual Aviation Festival.
The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) uses Personify360 and Small World Community to manage and engage its members and further its mission to protect and promote general aviation. Hangar, AOPA’s online community powered by Small World Community, connects members based on interests and location and promotes AOPA events while also allowing members to add and promote their own. It also enables members to create their own clubs and provides ways for members to track their education/certification within the community. AOPA announced the launch of Fly-In Hub, an addition to their online community for members to receive information about future fly-in events, during the event.
“I love unique opportunities like this that bring together two different parts of my life: aviation and Personify,” commented Eric Thurston, Personify CEO and longtime AOPA member. “Taking a hands-on approach to supporting the mission of our clients is what truly sets us apart.”
